A copper alloy unidentified object of probable prehistoric date to 2350 BC - AD 42. The object comprises a length of copper alloy which narrows along its length. At one end the cross section of the object is roughly square and is 10.45mm wide and 9.18mm thick. There is a split across the thickness of the object which at one side creates a small 5.51mm U shaped slot or notch and on the other side the slot continues from into a partial thickness cut 15.86mm long. The object continues straight with the roughly square, gradually narrowing profile which bends twice at 109.39mm and then at 180mm from the square end. After the second bend the cross section changes to become more rounded and at the end flares slightly (7.2mm wide and 4.96mm thick). The end terminates in a slight point at one side suggesting it originally ended in a loop or similar and on either side of this end, there are circular marks suggesting that the thin end is incomplete. The square end may also be incomplete.

The remaining patina is similar to that found on artefacts of Bronze Age and Iron Age date. The original patina is smooth suggesting a finely made object that was possibly subject to some rubbing. Where the original patina has worn away, the patina is mid-green.
