Copper alloy button. Cast discoid flat button with the stub from the loss of a separate loop on the back. The front bears a quasi-heraldic motif resembling a Classical lyre with a small sword or dagger superimposed. If not referring to a particular family, this charge may have been apt to the uniform of a military drummer or bandsman. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1830-1860.
