A complete, Medieval, struck or hammered, silver, penny of Edward I (1272-1307)/Edward II (1307-1327). probable class 10ab (possible 10cf3 with crown type 3) up to class 15d. Obverse: Crowned bust facing, drapery formed from two wedges, initial mark cross pattee. Inscription: EDWAR[](S h)VB. Reverse: Long cross pattee with three pellets in each angle. Inscription: CIVITAS (L)ONDON. Mint name:London Die axis:10 o'clock. Full flan coin with obverse struck a little off-centre, fine or worn condition but struck a little weak between 6 and 9 o'clock on obverse and reverse. Good silver colour with a little grey tarnish on the reverse. This coin is likely to date to 1301-1310. Ref.
