A lead alloy token of probable later medieval or early post-medieval date. The token is cast and bifacial. One side depicts what appears to be a sexfoil flower with stem, although the wear makes it hard to be certain. The other face depicts a small cross within a circle with a pellet ineach quarter. Around the outer edge is a field of short, repeating vertical lines. Similar patterns are seen on tokens on c.15th century date, while flower motifs are popular on 17th century tokens. The reverse of this token is similar to Powell type 14. Suggested date; c. AD 1400-1700.
