An early Medieval (AD900-1100) cast copper alloy Anglo-Saxon stirrup mount, Williams Class A, Type 17. The mount is sub triangular in plan, with an angled flange (type D) at the base with a single pierced hole. The flange is damaged at the site of the hole. There is an undecorated, pierced apex loop. The outer surface of the stirrup mount is decorated with a moulded raised design that is too degraded to distinguish. The inner surface appears to be undecorated.
