A complete post-Medieval silver cufflink element (c. 1725-c. 1800).
This single element is octagonal in plan, convex at the front and concave at the rear. The edge is down-turned. It has a soldered silver wire attachment loop at the rear. At the front, engraved decoration consists of an octagonal border with scalloped sides. In the centre is a rose with four main petals alternately with four smaller petals or calyx.
The front is worn.
Length: 15.9mm; width: 15.7mm; height: 2.6mm; height including loop: 5.9mm. Weight: 1.22g.
