A complete, Late Iron Age, cast, high tin content copper alloy, Cantiaci potin coin, class I type cantian D - Van Arsdell 123-1/125-1 or ABC165. Obverse: Crude celticized head outline of Apollo left, no pellet in 'eye' circle, plain border. Inscription: N/A. Reverse: Celticized line bull, charging or butting right of straight and curved lines. Mint: Kentish. Slightly irregular flan, very fine or slightly worn condition. Slightly uneven surface possibly caused by cooling contraction, otherwise attractive black patina. This is likely to date from 100-50BC. Ref.
