A Post Medieval lead alloy uniface token, c. 1550-1800. Powell Type 2. The token is decorated on one face with the initial 'C' and possibly a second initial. The other side is undecorated, although it has a circular impression towards one edge. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were easy to manufacture and distribute; they are therefore difficult to date precisely, but those with initials are thought to date to the Post Medieval period. The diameter is 18mm and the weight 9.58g.
