Fragment of a post-medieval shoe buckle. The frame is absent. A copper alloy pin and an incomplete stud or anchor chape (the attachment edge missing) are secured by an iron spindle. On the chape, to be viewed with the pin upwards, an rectangular stamp with the maker's mark, the initials RD. Width 16mm. Length of pin 13mm. c.1660 - c.1720.
