A Post Medieval copper alloy button. The button is circular in plan and has a slightly raised central circular boss on the outer face. Around the circumference of the central boss are feint traces of triangles arranged in a sunburst pattern. There are traces of tinning or silvering visible on the surface. The back face is plain and flat and has the remains of an attachment loop at the centre. The button probably dates to the 18th century. See Bailey (2004), page 58, figure 9, number 146 for a broadly similar example.
