Incomplete part of an outer sheet plate of medieval copper alloy composite tongue-shaped strap end tapering from a concave attachment edge with a nearby single rivet hole to a break. On the reverse there are very clear indications in solder of a forked spacer. Cf. Egan and Pritchard 1991, no. 659. Extant length 23mm. Width 8.2 - 7.4mm. 14th century.
