Dark grey flint with cortex, possibly collected from the East Coast, knife. Flake with two flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a bulb on the ventral. Invasive scalar retouch trimmed one side of a curved end with two small drafts. One long edge bears very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect. The opposite edge has a notch formed by short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect, and continuing this edge a short run of very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect. The lack of patina may suggest the object was incorporated into a sealed context shortly after its deposition. Suggested date: Early Neolithic, 4000-3500 BC.
