A complete pair of copper alloy tweezers of Early-Medieval date. The tweezers are comprised of a single piece of metal folded in half to create two parallel plates with loop for attachment at the apex. Below the loop the narrow neck extends to expand smoothly into triangular plates with curved terminals. The upper surface of the plates are decorated with three irregularly space ring and dot designs. A thin strip of copper wire is retained through the loop and fastened with two small knots.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The tweezers are 54.6mm long, 4.3mm wide at the neck, 13.2mm wide at the tweezing ends, 0.9mm thick and weighs 3.6g.

LIN-545287 notes that a similar example is also published in MacGregor & Bolick (1993:224 no 38.13) where the authors note that many of the published examples come from 5th or 6th century contexts but as a type they survive into the 7th century.
