An incomplete copper alloy buckle of Medieval date (about AD 1350-1450). The object is an asymmetrical double looped buckle with one sub-oval loop and a separate rectangular strap loop and pin bar. The pin is missing. The pin bar is and outer frame are notched for the pin. The object has a mid-green patina and file marks are visible on each face.
Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead, p.87 no.539 and are dated to circa AD 1350 - 1450.
