A ceramic rim sherd from a late medieval or post medieval vessel dating to the period c. AD 1400 - 1600. The fabric islight brown in colour with a reduced grey core. It has a coarse texture with frequent mica inclusions and frequent poorly sorted sub-angular white and brown flint inclusions. The inner surface is rough and unglazed. The outer surface has a rough rounded rim, an indentation below the rim and exhibits an abraded dark green glaze. The vessel exhibits a series of parallel longitudinal grooves running from the indentation below the rim to the point at which the sherd terminates in an old break.
