An extremely worn cast copper-alloy Iron Age potin unit dating to the late 2nd century BC, probably of Thurrock type. One face depicts the head of Apollo, whereas the other side depicts a raised horizontal bar probably depicting a degraded bull. Cf. Cottom et al, 'Ancient British Coins', p. 33, nos. 120-132. A portion of the casting sprue is still attached at 6 o'clock position on the obverse.
