A fragment of a copper alloy late-medieval purse bar (AD c.1450-c.1550), missing all but a length of one side bar and its terminal. Overall, the fragment measures 39.2mm long, 12.1mm wide and 12.1mm thick. It weighs 8.97g. The side bar is cylindrical and measures 4mm in diameter. The terminal is globular and wrythen (spiralled and twisted). This fragment falls into Type B3 (London Museum 1940). cf. Read, 2001, p. 129, Fig. 87, no. 923.
