A copper alloy post Medieval or Modern composite button, convex shape with a bevelled edge wrapping around the back plate. Any loop is missing. A pressed metal scene on the front shows a hound taking prey and so it may be a huntsmans livery button.
On the back of the button there is an indistinct mark which may be lettering or a makers mark. The bevelled edge has a spray pattern on it.
It is 26.12mm in diameter, the central boss with scene 19.59mm in diameter, and weighs 3.23g. It is 5.84mm high, the edge 2.01mm thick.
