A post-medieval double-sided copper-alloy coin weight for the gold angel of James I: an 11 shilling coin of James I during the period of his second coinage, as revalued (1604-1619; Withers and Withers 1995, 13). The coin weight is square. One side depicts St Michael spearing the dragon within a pelleted circle, the other one depicts a crown within a rope-twist circle above XI S. . The surface is worn and corroded.
The object measures 15 mm square, by 2.5 mm thick, and weighs 3.65 g
