Cast copper alloy solid one-piece button, circular in plan and bi-convex in profile, that is 12.4 mm in diameter and 11 mm in height, with an integral attachment loop. The attachment loop is 9 mm long with a flat stem and loop, 2 mm thick, and a circular hole that is 3 mm in diameter. The button is undecorated.

Late Medieval to Early Post-medieval c.1450-1600.

Read (2005) illustrates similar buttons on page 51, nos.174-179, which are dated from the late 15th to the 16th century.

Bailey (2004) illustrates similar buttons on page 29, figs.7.36-7.39, which are dated from the late 15th to the 16th century.
