A silver shilling of William III, (1694-1702). The coin is worn on each face only traces of the bust on the obverse are still visible. The legend on both obverse and reverse are illegible. Coins of William III were commonly converted into love tokens.

Evidence of reuse: The coin is worn on each face and has been deliberately smoothed and bent into a very gentle S shape. These features suggest it was re-used as a love token.
