Incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch, Mackreth (2011) Type CD RH (Colchester Derivative Rear Hook). Broken C-sectioned wings with iron corrosion on the reverse, broken hook, spring and pin. The springing of undecorated D-sectioned bow is flanked by twin vertical mouldings, foot and catch-plate missing. Extant length 18mm. Extant wingspan 15mm. c.43 - c.65 AD.
