A copper alloy Roman disc brooch, flat, with ten peripheral lugs or knops, slightly irregular in size, the largest projecting 4.20mm. The pin is missing, but the hinge plate and catch plate appear to be complete.
It is 22.72mm in diameter including the peripheral lugs, the main body is 16.45mm in diameter. It is 3mm thick. It weighs 4.03g.The main body of the brooch is surrounded by a slightly raised margin from which the lugs project. Within this are a circle of ten pellets around a larger, central pellet.
The reverse is plain with some iron corrosion on the flat area near the hinge plate. The whole has a greenish patina.
