An incomplete Late Iron Age to early Roman (AD 20-80) copper-alloy Colchester one-piece brooch missing the spring, pin and catchplate. The wings are rectangular in cross section and only part of the forward facing hook remains. The bow tapers from 4.8mm to 1.4mm at the foot and is oval in cross section. The catchplate is damaged.
The brooch is 41.1mm long, 6.7mm wide and 22.3mm thick. 3.06g. It has a brown colour with patches of a bright turquoise patina in places. The brooch is similar to WILT-025937 and BERK-B77E52.
