Fragment of a post-medieval copper alloy spur, an incomplete symmetrically set figure-of-eight terminal, two transverse grooves on pairs of lateral projections and the stump of the D-sectioned side. The latter is very narrow, 5mm. In form rather than size similar to an example from Beeston Castle, Cheshire which is "likely to date from the Civil War" (Ellis, B. in Ellis 1993, 168-9, fig. 118 no. 23). Extant length 22.4mm.
