A small later Roman (AD 200-410) cast copper-alloy key. The bow is circular with the rectangular-section stem projecting from one edge. A rectangular bit then turns a right angle at the end of the stem. The bit contains one rectangular cleft which can be seen from the end of the key. Two grooves decorate the stem of the key, and there are two grooves on the outer face of the bit. The object has a dark green patina.
22mm diameter of hoop, 30mm in length, 14mm in width (of bit), 10mm thick (of bit), weight 9.6g.
