Lead button or cloak fastener. Cast discoid button with a slightly dished concave front with bevelled border and the stub of a thick [9.5mm] integrally cast shank on the back, broken across a loop. An object of this size and weight is more likely to have functioned as a cloak fastener than as a button. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1700.
