A Medieval corroded copper-alloy probable harness mount (c. 1200-c. 1400).
This mount is shield shaped with an elongated integral projection at the rear. The front has patches of decayed enamel, now coloured red. Under magnification, minute flecks of gilding can be seen at the front.
The object is drab green.
