A group of four unpatinated flint scrapers of later Prehistoric date. They have a combined total weight of 50.66g and are of probable Neolithic to Bronze Age date, c.4000-800 BC.
1) An oval(?) scraper struck from a mottled grey/black flint and snapped at the distal end. It has a small bulb of percussion and striking platform, with short semi-abrupt to abrupt and scaled retouch around one edge. This object measures 44.83mm in length, 36.26mm in width, 11.96mm in thickness, and 17.21g in weight.
2) An oval scraper struck from a dark grey flint with prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion. It retains cortex along one edge and in a small area of the dorsal face, with short, abrupt and scaled retouch at the distal end and on the edge without the cortex. This object measures 33.51mm in length, 32.88mm in width, 10.67mm in thickness, and 14.09g in weight.
3) An oval or thumbnail scraper struck from a dark grey flint. It has a prominent striking platform and bulb of percussion, with negative flake scar on the dorsal face. The edges and distal end have short, abrupt and scaled retouch with a few small areas of cortex remaining. This object measures 25.31mm in length, 27.64mm in width, 9.61mm in thickness, and 7.51g in weight.
4) An end scraper struck from a mottled grey flint. It has a small striking platform and bulb of percussion, with parallel flake scars on the dorsal face. The distal end has short, semi-abrupt and scaled retouch. This object measures 49.36mm in length, 27.49mm in width, 8.33mm in thickness, and 11.85g in weight.
