A copper alloy medieval buckle plate dating to the period c AD1250-1500. The buckle plate is complete and comprises a sheet of copper alloy which has been folded in half and has had a hole and sections at either side cut to fit the offset strap bar. There are three copper alloy rivets through the plate and on the top surface, these have decorative square studs. The top surface of the plate has an incised line around the edge and in the centre has foliate curvilinear decoration.
