An incomplete medieval harness pendant dating to the period c.AD 1175-1300. The pendant is square in plan and depicts a moulded lion passant facing left enclosed within a circle. An integral suspension loop projects from the upper edge, with two worn breaks at the aperture, which would have been at a right angle to the display face. The revese is undecorated. There is a green patina on the surface.
The harness pendant measures 21.07mm in length including suspension loop, 13.92mm in width, 1.80mm in thickness and weighs 2.08g.
