Medieval penny of Edward I or Edward II dating from c. AD1307-1309. Probably class 10cf3b, of the b2 variety due to straight sided lettering on reverse (I, N, T and L). The broken Os in LON DON suggest that the reverse die is of the b2 type rather than 10cf5 where straight sided lettering is common. Straight sided lettering can be found mixed with curved lettering from class 10cf3b2 onwards. Mint: London.
