A damaged and incomplete cast copper-alloy leg and foot from a later medieval to post-medieval cooking vessel. The object is splayed at the base in a simple, out-turned, pad-like foot of now sub-oval cross-section, significantly worn at both front corners, and probably abraded at the reverse corners. The front of the foot and the leg are faceted around the central longitudinal plane, giving the fragment a five-sided cross-section, with flat reverse. The long sides of the leg appear to be heavily abraded. The break where the leg would have joined the body of the vessel is old. The flat back and base make an obtuse angle of about 120 degrees. As noted, the object has become corroded post-deposition, and is largely a variable green colour , but with patches of a dark surface layer on the front.
The object is 71.0mm long, up to 38.3mm wide, up to 19.4mm thick, and weighs 122.96g. This form of foot is comparable to the that published in Butler et al. (2009, 4; ref. 4a) and could date from either the medieval or post-medieval periods.
