A cast copper-alloy spur fragment of probable post-Medieval date.
The fragment consists of part of the curved arm, which is of D-shaped cross section, At one end of this arm is a damaged attachment loop comprising one of an original two rectangular frames.The remaining loop has almost worn through to the back edge. The object has a degraded green patina and iron staining on the loop. Dimensions are: Length 48.45 mm. Width of loop: 11.09 mm. Length of loop 15.54 mm. Thickness: 4.95 mm. Weight: 6.345 grams.
