Complete copper alloy coin weight for a Rose Ryal of James I (1603-1619). Obverse is stamped with the Royal arms in a shield surroundedd by a rose. This is in a very worn condition. The Reverse is stamped with the roman numerals XXXIII surmounted with a crown and with an S below that is barely visible. There is a countermark of a crowned I. Corresponds to 1612 revaluation coinage as seen in Withers 1993 No.s386-388.
