Medieval copper alloy annular framed brooche, broken wire pin, the loop is set within a round hole in a slight lug projecting from the inner edge. Six round collets rise from the flat top of the frame. All bar one are damaged and have lost their stone but most retain some white fixative. The extant stone is greenish glass. The gaps between the collets are decorated with two rows of closely spaced punched annulets. The inner face of the frame is angled upwards towards the centre and there is a peripheral flange. External diameter 23mm. Internal diameter 16mm. Maximum thickness (at intact stone) 4.5mm. c.1230 - c.1400.
