Copper alloy 'D' shaped buckle and integral plate. There are traces of gilding and two rivets at either end of the plate. The buckle is probably for a spur dating 1250-1400AD. The length is 46mm, the width is 15mm and the weight 3.90g. Similar to No.197. P.34 in Whitehead. R. Buckles 1250-1800. Greenlight. Whitham, Essex.
