A medieval to post medieval granite pestle dating to the period c. AD 1200-1800. The granite is green and white in colour, and would have been used with a mortar of the same material. It is broadly oval in plan, with a rounded point at its butt end and rounded corners at its use end. This end is also worn smooth from use.
The pestle measures 149mm in length and 44mm in diameter.
