Medieval pendent lead crucifix. The figure of the haloed Christ and the INRI scroll immediately below the suspension hole are in low relief. No letters are visible on the latter. Christ is draped and his legs flexed. The arms of the cross are straight-sided and have straight terminals. Height 34mm, width 19.5mm, thickness <4mm. Diam. of suspension hole 1mm. Lead crucifixes are not commonly found. One example, of which the cross has expanded ends and which has no surviving means of suspension, is in Salisbury Museum (Egan in Saunders ed. (2001) 98, fig. 34 no.75). Probably 14th – 15th century.
