Incomplete medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with the bar, most of one side and about half of the other missing. The straight outside edge is recessed for a missing sheet roller. Although the ends of the edge are straight and without knops there is some resemblance to Egan and Pritchard 1991, nos. 288, 298 and 317. Estimated width 23mm. 13th - 14th century.
