Incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle frame: trapezoidal socketed plate with two rivet holes (one incomplete, other with iron rivet), a waist before a pin hole, and a short lengths of the undecorated sides of an integral frame. The front of the plate was probably engraved but wear has removed all traces apart from a transverse line before the waist. The rear of the plate is integral (i.e. there is no separate back-plate). The frame was almost certainly lyre-shaped, cf. Fingerlin 1971, Abb. 291-2. Extant length 38.5mm. Width 23.4mm. Late 14th - mid 15th century
