Silver coin. Penny of Henry VI (first reign, 1422-1461), probably second issue of 1427-1430, York mint, lightly clipped.

Obverse description: Facing bare shouldered bust with deep hollow at throat and two smaller hollows below that; tall bifoliate crown , rosette left of crown/hair and saltire to right. Possibly initial cross 3a.

Obverse inscription: HENRIC[?C][--]GLI

Reverse description: Long cross, three pellets in each angle, central quatrefoil with pellet in middle. A rhomboid figure or mascle at start of second quarter legend.

Reverse inscription: CIVI/TAS/EBO/RACI
