Neolithic (4,000 to 2200 BC) core: The core is cylindrical with a sub-oval section. The core appears to be used to short, narrow blades. The core has two striking platform to remove blades, one which allows blades to be removed from the cylindrical sides, the other is one of the terminals. One side face has a small patch of cortex which has been partially removed. The flint is a mottled light grey colour. The core measures 29.14mm long, 24.5mm wide, is 20.44mm thick and weighs 15.72 grams.
The core probably dates to the Neolithic period.
