A Roman ceramic sherd from the rim of a vessel dating to the period c AD 43-410. The sherd comprises a section from the rim of a greyware vessel. The sherd has part of the rim which curves out convexly. The sherd is irregularly shaped with old breaks on three sides. The fabric is a light grey colour with a reduced grey core and sand and possibly red grog inclusions. The sherd weighs 11.7g. It is 43.5mm in length, 8.3mm in thickness and 31.83mm wide.
