Post-medieval copper alloy buckle. Double-oval frame, one loop surviving, narrowed bar with grooved moulding at either end, pointed and grooved moulding in centre of outside edge. Reverse of mouldings slightly hollowed. Iron staining on bar from (missing) pin. Measuring (reconstructed) 50 x 26.5mm. See Whitehead (2003, 65, no.401), circa 1550 - 1650.
