Medieval sheet copper alloy shield-shaped strap end with angled inside edge, two notches in each side, two rivet-holes, one near the outside edge with copper alloy rivet, the other in the centre. The outside edge has been curled over towards the front face, this would have performed the same function (probably in engagement with a folding strap clasp) as the normal bar-mount. Length 22.5. Width 15.5mm. 14th - mid 15th century.
