Copper alloy seal matrix. The matrix has an oval face with an hexagonally faceted concial handle terminating with a trefoil suspension loop. In the centre of the face is a stags head with a cross above. Surrounding this is an inscription reading: S'thome fi' wile, translated as 'Seal of Thomas, son of William.
