Incomplete medieval copper alloy suspension unit or holder for a lamp or censer, consisting of a vertical arm below a suspension loop and above three horizontal arms each ending in a loop, and on the underside a horizontally pierced lug. Surfaces are partly covered by, and all apertures filled with, ferrous deposits. One arm is incomplete. Height 34mm. Length of arms 23mm. Width between surviving arms 42mm. Cf. an example of similar size found at St Peter's church, Guestwick, Norfolk (Williams, V. in Rogerson et al. 1987, 73, fig.50, no.2), the Greyfriars, Norwich (Huddle, J. in Emery, P. A. 2007, 153, fig. 5.47) and others from London, one in a later 14th-cent. context (Egan 1998, 130-1, nos. 356-7).
