Incomplete and badly distorted Roman or possibly Early Saxon copper alloy tweezers, the loop and one arm only. Decoration on the upper half comprises three pairs of transverse engraved grooves with a pair of punched ring-and-dots between the lower two. On the lower half two more ring-and-dots lie immediately above a very small projection from both edges. The blade is turned inwards through 90 degrees. Length 45mm. Width at loop 5mm, at mid-point 6mm, at blade 9mm. 4th - 6th century.
