A complete lat early-medieval to medieval copper-alloy bit link (bridle fitting) dating to the 11th century. The shaft is D-shaped in section with flat back and rounded front face. At a roughly central point on the shaft are two knops, possibly zoomorphic. At each end of the shaft are integral loops. These are circular in form and show signs of wear, D-shaped in cross section, and with large central circular apertures.
It measures 56.3mm in length,17.65mm at the widest point, and 9.00mm thick. It weighs 20.37 grams.
